We conducted heat resistance testing (JIS L 1951) at the Japan Textile Products Quality and Technology Center, earning the top rating of S65+ (75-80% heat shielding rate). Under the JUPA standards set by the Japan Umbrella Promotion Council, products with a heat shielding index of 35% or higher are permitted to display a heat shielding effect claim. The ARTA×SPACE COOL Grid Parasol delivers a 75%+ rate, overwhelming the standard by over 40% to prove its exceptional performance.

SPACE COOL® is an innovative material that doesn’t just reflect and block heat from sunlight and the atmosphere—it also discards absorbed heat by radiating it out into space. Its unique multi-layer structure combines two key functions: a heat shielding feature that blocks sunlight and suppresses heat absorption (with a reflectivity of 95% or higher), and a radiative cooling function that amplifies infrared rays in the "atmospheric window" zone to release heat (with an emissivity of 95% or higher). This enables a perceived temperature lower than the outside air, using zero energy.

● When opening your umbrella, gently shake it 2-3 times to loosen the canopy before unfolding it. Forcing it open can cause the fabric to tangle and the ribs to break.
● This product has sharp parts. Confirm the surrounding area is safe before use to avoid hitting people or objects nearby.
● If the handle or ribs break, stop using the product immediately, as this can cause injury or accidents.
● Do not use this umbrella in strong winds, as it may become damaged.
● Do not use this umbrella for purposes other than its intended design, such as using it as a walking stick.
● This umbrella is not designed to be attached to fixtures for securing it to bicycles, strollers, or similar items. Attaching it may block your view, cause accidents, or damage the product, so never attach it to these items.
● Hand cream, sunscreen, and similar products may cause discoloration of the umbrella's fabric or handle.
● After use, dry your umbrella in a shaded area before storing it. Storing it while wet may cause rust formation or fabric color transfer.
● Do not spin the umbrella by its handle while it is open and quickly flip it inside out, as this can damage the umbrella.
● If the umbrella ribs break, do not touch them with your bare hands. Touching the tips or cut ends can cause them to pierce your skin.
The tips may also protrude from the surface if the ribs are bent sharply, scratched, or degraded.
